ROR presented at the Brazilian editors' meeting

This month (October) you have the possibility to make a summary about the ROR for presentation at ABECMeeting2022.

Talk about its methodology, importance, functioning, example ID ROR and how to embed it in Crossref metadata.

Following is the abstract and one page presentation.

Abstract:

Research Organization Registry (ROR) is an organized methodology of IDs (identifiers) for research institutions/universities and author affiliation in publication. Launched in 2019, the result of studies on the need for editors to incorporate into the publication platform, and later send these additional metadata to Crossref, which collaborates in the process of dissemination and interoperability of the publication in the editing/scientific communication process. As it needs to be used in Brazil, it is necessary to plan for use in editorial processes for the union with other existing IDs. There is already a plugin for version 3.3+ of OJS (Open Journal Systems). The article aims to show the importance of ROR and its objectives, aiming to show editors examples of utilization.
